A. If nothing loads after clicking on the
GET STARTED button in the homepage, it is most likely because your
computer does not have flash player 10 installed. To download flash player

Q. What is Sticker
Maker?
A. Sticker Maker is the application that allows
you to make new stickers, customize individual stickers, and/or customize an entire
page of stickers. You can get to this application by clicking on the ‘Sticker Maker’
link found in the top navigation bar. If you are in the homepage, you can click
on the GET STARTED button to get to the application as well. You
will be taken to the page layout mode which
will allow you to drag and drop images from the left panel onto your page
Back to Top
Q.
What can I do with the stickers on my page?
A. Once you have stickers on your page, you
can move them around by clicking and holding onto the sticker (i.e. a rectangular
box forms around the sticker when it is selected) and moving it to the desired location
on the page. If you want to change the size of the sticker, simply click on the
sticker and drag any corner of the rectangular box outwards or inwards depending
on whether you want a larger or smaller sticker. Notice the ruler on the top and
the left side of the page. This will help you determine the size of the sticker
before you order it.
Aside from re-positioning and re-sizing the stickers on your page, you can make
1 copy or multiple
copies of the sticker and arrange them
so that they are more organized on your page using the toolbar icons. If you do
not like a particular sticker, you can delete it
or clear the entire page if you want to start
from scratch.

A. If you decide that you would like to change
the art elements found in the left panel of the StickerYou application, you can
change the theme that you are currently in.
Q. How do I choose
or change themes?
A. To choose or change a theme ensure that you
are in the “Sticker Maker” with the orange
“Theme” tab highlighted. Click on “Browse Themes” to expand a sliding screen and
choose a Theme from the list of Categories provided. The screen is called the Theme
Browser and is divided into categories and then into themes. For example, a category
would be "Fashion & Art Stickers" and below that category, you will
find themes such as "Gothic Art from Alchemy UK" and "Fashion Stickers".
Once you have chosen the Theme that you want, the StickerYou application will automatically
close the “Theme Browser” and take you to the Page
Layout screen. All of the images contained under that Theme will be displayed
on the left of your screen under the orange Theme tab which will appear highlighted.
If there are more images that can be viewed, you will see a scroll bar. If there
are any images that you like from the selection, simply click on the image and drag
and drop it on the page.

A. You can upload your own images onto your
page and further customize them. There are a few places in which you can upload
your own image. If you are in the page layout
mode, you can click on the "Upload Image" button found on the bottom right-hand
corner next to the white page. You can also click on the green "My
Stuff" tab located in the left panel and select the ‘New Upload’ button.
Browse through your computer files and choose the one you wish to upload. If you
want to create a die-cut around your image, check
off the box labelled, “Create a die cut around the image”. Once your file has been
uploaded successfully, you will see it under "My Uploads".

New Upload and My Uploads

A. You can upload files that are maximum 10
MB in size and of types PNG, GIF, or JPG. Once the StickerYou application uploads
your image, it will appear on the left of the screen under the “My Uploads” row
within the “My Stuff” tab. You can use your image by dragging and dropping it onto
the page layout in the center of the screen.
A. If you decide to upload your own photo image,
we suggest that you check out the “Upload & Photo Sticker” Category (which also
has a Theme by the same name) which can be found in the
Theme Browser. This theme offers picture frames for the images (often photos)
you have uploaded into the StickerYou application.
Since the images will be saved in your personal file in a tab called “My Uploads”
under the green “My Stuff” tab, you can use
and reuse these images every time you create a sticker. Simply go to the“My Stuff”
tab instead of the “Theme” one to choose your uploaded images the next time you
want to customize a sticker.

Q. What is the “My Stuff”
tab?
A. Under the “My Stuff” tab you will also see
other images that are classified as Art, Shapes, Backgrounds, Saved Stickers, and
Saved Pages. Any items saved in your “My Stuff” folder are your personal items that
can be utilized for later use and can be organized in your
“My Stuff Organizer”. For more information on how images are classified,
see Image Classifications.
When you click the “My Stuff” tab on the upper left corner, you will notice a series
of collapsed files: “My Uploads", Saved Stickers”,”Art”, “Shapes”, “Backgrounds”,
and “Saved Pages”. “Saved Stickers” refers to stickers you have already selected
or customized which you have saved for future use or reference. “Art”, “Shapes”
and “Backgrounds” are all the images that you may have specifically added while
in Search. “Saved Pages” are sticker pages you have
selected or created which you have saved for future use or reference. “My Uploads”
refers to the images or files you have uploaded from your computer.

Q. How are
the different images classified?
A. Whether you are in the orange “Themes” or
green “My Stuff” tab, you will see a series of expandable rows below the 2 different
tabs. If you are in the “Themes” tab, you will find the sections, “Art”, “Shapes”,
“Backgrounds”, “Readymade Stickers”, and/or “Readymade Pages”. In “Art”, you will
find elements that you can customize your stickers with or you can use those elements
to be individual stickers. “Shapes” and “Backgrounds” can be used to form the outline
in which your sticker will be die-cutted and are
either geometric shapes (e.g. rectangles, circles, triangles, etc.) that can be
colored or pre-populated with a color or pattern.
“Readymade Stickers”, and “Readymade Pages” are rows that give you a choice of stickers
and pages that StickerYou has already created. If you like any of these stickers
or pages, simply drag and drop them onto the page to begin creating or
editing your page of stickers.
If you are in the “My Stuff” tab, you will also find “Art”, “Shapes”, and “Backgrounds”
rows that contain the items that you have selectively saved – you can do this in
the Search page or in your
“My Stuff Organizer”. The differences are the “Saved Stickers” and “Saved
Pages” classifications which contain stickers and pages that you have created and
saved.
A. "Upload & Photo Stickers" is
a Theme that provides you with a special image
classification called “Picture Frames” that you can use for your pictures.
While in this theme and upon selecting the “Picture Frames” tab, you will see a
selection of frames that you can use to enclose your uploaded image in. Choose the
picture frame that you would like to use and drag and drop it onto the white canvas.
You will notice that the center of the frame is filled with a checker pattern. This
is where your picture will eventually fit in.
You can select a picture or image that you have uploaded, then drag and drop the
picture or image onto the checker portion of the photo frame. Your picture will
appear surrounded by the photo frame. To manipulate the photo in your photo frame,
see the section on Fill.

Q. How do I edit
stickers?
A. In the page
layout mode, you can edit stickers by selecting the sticker and then clicking
on the “Customize Sticker” button found on the sticker. This will take you to the
customize sticker view that will enable you
to change the color of a sticker, add or
manipulate shapes, apply
backgrounds, add text, or
mirror or rotate an object.
Q. How
do I create new stickers?
A. If you want to create a new sticker while
in page layout, click on the “New Sticker”
button found just above the “Upload Image” button. This will take you to the
customize sticker view that will enable you to start a new sticker from
scratch. If you are already in the customize sticker view, click on the first button
(from the left) located above the white canvas (See Below).

A. The customize sticker view allows users to
modify or create 1 sticker at a time. On the white canvas, there will be a watermark
that denotes which sticker (e.g. Sticker 1) on your current page that you are working
on. Here you can apply different colors to
your sticker, add or manipulate shapes, apply backgrounds, add
text, or mirror or rotate an object.

Q. How do I change
the color of a sticker?
A. You can use the color feature to change the
color of your text or your images. Just click on the image and choose the color
you want. If you want to match the color to an already-existing color from any image
on the canvas, simply click on the “Eye Dropper” (located in the upper right-hand
corner of the colour box), and place it on the desired color and click. The Eye
Dropper will copy the color and turn whatever image within the bounding box that
you had selected into the same color.

Q. What are shapes?
A. You can add a shape to your sticker by simply
expanding the “Shapes” file in the left panel and dragging and dropping the desired
shape into the white canvas. Once the shape is on the canvas and selected, you can
color it, add text
to it, rotate or mirror the shape. In addition,
if you have multiple shapes or elements on your canvas, you can
move the items in front or behind with respect to each other. This is especially
useful when you apply a background to
your sticker.
Lastly, you can also copy, paste, and
delete the shape.
Q. How
do I apply a background to a sticker?
A. You can choose a background for your sticker
by opening the “Background” file on the left panel and dragging the desired Background
onto the white canvas. Once the background is on the white canvas and selected,
you can color it,
add text to it, rotate or mirror the background.
In addition, if you have multiple shapes or elements on your canvas, you can
move the items in front or behind with respect to each other.
Please note that some backgrounds cannot have their color changed. This is due to
restrictions imposed on certain images
in specific themes. Lastly, you can also copy, paste,
and delete the background.
Q. How do I add text to
my sticker?
A. In the “Text” box on the right panel (still
in the customize view), enter the text you want to add to your sticker and choose
the font you want to use. When you click on the “Add Text” button, your text will
appear on the upper left-hand side of the white canvas. Click on the text to increase
or decrease the size and to move it to the desired position. You can change the
font by clicking on the text in the canvas and choosing from the font selection
on top of the text box. Once you choose a new font, click on “Apply changes” and
the font type will changed. You can edit existing text on the canvas by clicking
the text and editing the words in the Text tool accordingly. You can also change
the color of the text by clicking on it and applying
a color.

Q. How
do I move an object in front of or behind another on sticker customizer view?
A. When you are creating a sticker with multiple
elements, you may want to position 1 item in front of another. In order to do this,
select the object that you want to position on top of the other element(s) and then
click the button labelled, “MOVE the selected item FORWARD”, found above the white
canvas. If the selected item is behind multiple items on the canvas, you will have
to click on the button multiple times until the element is in front of all the images.

Conversely, you may want to position 1 item behind another. In order to do this,
select the object that you want to position behind the other element(s) and then
click the button labelled, “MOVE the selected item BACK”, found above the white
canvas. If the selected item is in front of multiple items on the canvas, you will
have to click on the button multiple times until the element is behind all of the
images.

A. Please see the section on
Fill.
Q. What is Fill?
A. The “Fill” section below the color palette
box allows you to fill certain images with Backgrounds or other images. Click on
the image you want to fill and if it is fillable, you will be able to click on the
“Get Started!” button in the Fill box on the bottom right of your screen. Make sure
you have selected the exact image you want to fill. Once you have clicked the button,
the fillable portion of your image will become checkered allowing you to drag and
drop the effect (e.g. background or image) you wish to fill the image with.
Fill Step 1:

By default StickerYou opens the backgrounds for you to drag and drop into your Image.
After a few seconds, your image will be populated by the pattern you chose. A small
square with a smiley face or cloud will appear in the center of the image so that
if you place your mouse over it, the square will either say “Select Fill” or “Select
All”. If you see “Select All”, only your “Fill” is selected. That means that you
can edit your pattern so you can stretch it or make it smaller or delete it. If
you want to change the pattern, make sure you delete the one you had previously
chosen before selecting a new one. Conversely when the small square with the clouds
says “Select Fill”, that means that the entire sticker is selected, not just the
pattern inside.

Q. How do I rotate or mirror
an image within a sticker or an entire sticker?
A. While customizing your sticker, you can choose
to rotate it 90 degrees by clicking on the “Rotate the selected item 90 degrees”
found above the white canvas. This will turn your image 90 degrees and if you continue
to click the button, another 90 degrees will be applied.
In addition, if you would like to take a reflection of your sticker, you can mirror
it by clicking on the “MIRROR the selected item” button found next to the “Rotate
the selected item 90 degrees” button.

Q. How do I copy and
paste an image while in customize sticker view?
A. While creating a sticker, you may decide
to have multiple copies of the same element in the same sticker. To copy an element,
select the object and click the “COPY the selected item” button first and then the
“PASTE what I’ve copied” button next. Doing so will produce an exact replicate of
the element. You can also use the keyboard shortcut keys, [CTRL-C] and [CTRL-V],
instead of the buttons.
Q. How do I delete the objects on the white canvas while in customize sticker view?
A. If you decide that you do not want one of
the copied elements above or any one of the elements on your canvas, you can select
it and delete it by clicking on the button, with the trash can icon, located just
above the middle of the white canvas. You can also use the keyboard shortcut keys,
[delete] or [backspace] to delete the element.
Q. Why is
the text box and color palette box greyed out sometimes?
A. While customizing a sticker, please note
that some images in the different categories will have copyright protection and
cannot be altered. That means that you may not be able to add text to an image in
these Themes. The StickerYou application will let you know when this restriction
occurs when you select an the image that is protected.

A. Furthermore, if you are customizing a sticker
that contains a branded image (e.g. Happy Bunny, Mr. Men/Little Miss), you will
not be able to mix an image from 1 brand with a different brand. This is due to
copyright protection and if you try to mix branded images together on the same sticker,
a pop-up will notify you of this protection.

A. Once you are done customizing your sticker,
you can save it by clicking on the “SAVE the sticker I’m working on” button located
above the white canvas and start a new sticker
from there.
Furthermore, if you are done customizing and want to see a preview of your sticker
on the current page, click the DONE button located above the text
box. This will take you back to the page layout.
Q. What is a page
layout?
A. The page layout is the view in which your
sticker page will look when printed out. If you are in the page layout mode, you
will notice a ruler surrounding the top and left-hand side edges of your page. If
there are stickers on your page, you will see them with die-cuts
and positioned relative to each other. Here, you can
start a new page, save it, or delete
it.

A. A die-cut is the outline around a sticker
in which it will become perforated. Currently StickerYou forms a die-cut around
all of the stickers so when they are printed, you will see a cut around the sticker
that allows you to easily peel off the sticker.

Q. How do I make
a copy of a sticker that I just created?
A. While in the
page layout if you have a sticker that you would like to make a copy of,
select the sticker so that a bounding box shows up around it. Then above the page,
click on the 4th button starting from the left-hand side – this will copy the sticker
and to paste it on the page, select the "PASTE what I've copied" button
which is to the right of the "Copy the selected item" button. An exact
copy of the sticker will show up on your page and can be re-positioned wherever
you would like it to be.
Q. How do I fill a sticker
page with the same sticker?
A. If you would like to make multiple copies
of the same sticker, you can either copy and paste
the same sticker multiple times or you can fill the rest of your page with the same
sticker. Click on the image until you see a bounding box formed around it. Then
above the page, click on the 4th button starting from the left-hand side (aka. “Copy
the selected item”) and then click on “FILL THE PAGE with the item I've selected”
button. This will automatically populate your sticker page with enough copies to
fill the page.

Q. How do I organize
or arrange my stickers so that they are properly aligned on the page?
A. When you have multiple copies of the same
sticker or multiple stickers on a page, it is sometimes difficult to arrange them
so that they look organized on the page. Don’t worry – StickerYou will take care
of that for you! All you have to do is click on the 2nd button from the right-side
(next to the button with the trash can) above the page and your stickers will be
aligned properly.
Q. How do I delete
a sticker on my page?
A. When you are in
page layout and would like to delete a sticker, select the sticker and click
on the button with the trash can icon (located above your page). You can also use
the [Delete] or [backspace] button on your computer – either methods will delete
your sticker from the page.
Q. How do I remove all
of the contents on my page?
A. If at any point in time while working on
a sticker page, you decide that you want to delete all of the stickers and start
from a blank page, you can click the 3rd button (“Clear the page”) from the left-hand
side just above your page. This will clear the contents of your page allowing you
to start with a blank page.

Q. How do I start
a new sticker page?
A. You can also acquire a blank page by starting
a new one. Click on the 1st button ("Start a brand NEW page") starting
from the left-hand side just above the ruler.

Q. What is an active
page?
A. When you create a
new sticker page, the page becomes ‘active’ meaning that you can modify
it as long as it is in the current preview on the screen. Active pages can be found
on the right-hand side of your screen under the section "Active Pages".
The functionality to delete the page,
add it to the cart, or remove it from the cart
are found in this section.

Search
Q. How do I search for images?
A. Sometimes while creating a new sticker or
customizing an existing one, you decide that you need a specific image, but are
uncertain as to which theme it is in, you can search for it to see if the StickerYou
application has it. You can do this by typing in your search term in the search
field found at the top right-hand corner of the application just below the shopping
cart. Hitting the [enter] key or clicking on the “Go” button will take you to the
Search Page.

Entering the Search Page, you should see your search results in the middle of the
screen. Your results are separated in 3 different sections: “Images”, “Themes”,
and “Readymade Sticker Pages”. The results displayed in the “Images” section are
further broken down into the classifications,
“Art”, “Readymade Stickers”, “Shapes”, and “Backgrounds”. You can filter your images
by checking off the desired checkboxes. In the “Themes” section, clicking on any
of the themes will take you back to the Sticker Maker
with the contents of that specific theme loaded. If your search result has any relevant
sticker pages associated with the search term, they will be displayed in the “Readymade
Sticker Pages” section.
Lastly if you want to see all of the contents found in a specific category (e.g.
sports stickers), you can click on any of the category names found below the blue
“Browse Categories” heading.

A. While in the Search page if you find images
that you would like to use for your current or future stickers, you can add those
images to your “Default Album” (found in your My Stuff
tab) by clicking on the “Add to My Stuff” link. Clicking on the link will
add the image to your “Default Album” which contains all of your customized stickers
and personal uploads. Once added, you have the option of removing it or organizing
your images in the “My Stuff Organizer”.
You can do the same for the “Readymade Sticker Pages”. Once the pages are added,
they become easily accessible for previewing, editing, and ordering.
